Abbey earned her Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science from Wake Forest University and her Master of Science in Health Sciences for Physician Assistants from Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
Her previous clinical experience includes work as a physician assistant at Mount Sinai West in New York City where she ran the obstetrical triage and saw patients with both obstetric/gynecologic and non-obstetric complaints. She also served as a medical assistant in orthopedic surgery at Brigham and Women's /Mass General Health Care Center in Foxboro, Mass.
In addition to her academic and clinical careers in medicine, Abbey has conducted medical research as well. She served as research investigator for The Breast Care Center at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center and as an exercise interventionist for an osteoarthritis research study. She also served as an intern in the tuberculosis lab at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health.
Abbey is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. She works in our Women's Health Center in Dedham.
